Declaration of Principles

 

The founders of the United States of America gave us a form of government where by the people of this nation could secure the blessing of liberty through active political participation rather than through the military action that was necessary to forge our country. 

 

Our great nation was founded on the premise that the people have rights which are granted to them by Almighty God, not government.  We affirm our support for the statement: We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.  Our governments role is to ensure justice in our society by protecting the life, liberty and property of the individual. 

 

Power entrusted to those who serve in government must be used to stand for the principles which make our nation great.  Loyalty to principle must come before loyalty to party in order for our nation to be preserved, so that future generations will be able to enjoy the blessings of liberty.  We declare that the following are foundational principles in the perpetual earthly fight for freedom:

  1. To humbly seek the Divine guidance of Almighty God, our Creator.

  2. Defend all innocent life, the born and the unborn.

  3. Support and defend the constitutions of our state and nation, including all of the Bill of Rights, against all enemies both foreign and domestic. 

  4. Recognize an individuals rights and responsibilities.

  5. Support constitutionally limited government.

  6. All tax increases should be opposed until the tax burden is only what is required to support the governments constitutional responsibilities.

  7. A market driven economic system.

  8. A judiciary branch that rules justly while recognizing its restrained constitutional role as only an applicator of the law to the circumstances brought before it for consideration.

  9. Defend marriage as the union of one man and one woman, the traditional family as the foundational building block of our society and recognizing parents God given rights, especially to direct their children's education.

  10. Protect private property rights.
